Due to the significant differences in the physical properties of water and oil, to effectively use these fittings in water, it is necessary to incorporate O-ring for water or switch to sealing technologies specifically designed for water to improve sealing performance and prevent leakage.
Additionally, O-ring seals provide better resistance to low pressure and high vibration, thereby enhancing the overall reliability and performance of the system.
Single-cutting ring Compression Fittings, also known as bite-type fittings, are designed for use with hard tubing such as metal, brass, or steel tubes. These fittings are especially suitable for medium to high-pressure hydraulic and pneumatic systems, making them a popular choice in industrial applications.
Their defining feature is the cutting ring, which "bites" into the outer surface of the tube during assembly. This biting action creates a strong mechanical grip and a leak-proof seal, ensuring high performance and long-lasting durability under demanding conditions.
